Determining a site of care for your patients needing infused treatments can be a challenge. When home infusion is not an option, Coram ambulatory infusion suites (AIS) are the answer. We have specially trained, dedicated infusion staff ready and able to support you and your patients throughout their treatment journey and beyond.

Coram suites can provide infusion care for specialty medications and acute infusion services*, including antibiotics and total parenteral nutrition. Accredited by The Joint Commission to ensure your patient receives the highest quality care, we also support all therapy-specific REMS compliance programs. The Coram AIS staff provide regular updates in Epic®, so you can easily monitor your patient’s progress and we will reach out to you when needed.

Fully equipped facility and staff

Each AIS is fully equipped to meet unexpected medical needs, including pain-ease spray to reduce needle pain, vein-finders for patients with difficult access as well as resuscitation medications and equipment.  And, with access to exclusive and limited distribution therapies, we’re able to support your specialty medication and infused therapy selections.

Our goal is to provide exceptional care and experience. In a recent nationwide Press Ganey survey:

  • More than 86 percent of patients reported overall satisfaction with the services provided at a Coram AIS.
  • More than 96 percent of patients found our infusion nurses knowledgeable and highly skilled when IV and Midline insertions are performed.
  • Nearly 87 percent of patients were satisfied with how our team arranged for infusion suite services**.

From ease of getting started with scheduling and creating an individual care plan to the ongoing monitoring and therapy assessment, patients view us as their trusted infusion provider.

Regular communication updates

Our suites are staffed with clinical infusion experts, including nurses, pharmacists and care coordinators. They help make sure patients have a seamless and calming experience when receiving treatment. The onsite clinical team makes it easy for you to stay informed of your patient’s progress with regular updates. Initial starts of care, ongoing clinical monitoring and therapy assessments are recorded in Epic. Providers can view their patient’s progress and review Continuity of Care Documents (CCD) within their existing Epic connection. Our system even allows two-way communication from you to our Coram AIS. Whether patients receive treatments in their home or at a Coram AIS, our clinical staff will provide you with regular communication updates.

It's easy to get patients started

Refer your patients today. Our centralized referral intake team will start the process to verify benefits, including if billing under the patient’s medical or pharmacy benefit is better, expediting PA requests, and connecting patients to financial assistance. We even have a dedicated team that focuses on clinical appeals support. Next, the Coram AIS onsite care coordinator will contact your patient and find the best time to schedule treatment.
