Coram once again awarded accreditation by The Joint Commission

Back to resource center

Coram is proud to have recently earned reaccreditation by The Joint Commission for Home Infusion. By earning this accreditation for the fourth time, we have met and exceeded continuous compliance with The Joint Commission performance standards since June 2009. The Gold Seal of Approval® is a symbol of quality that reflects Coram’s commitment to providing safe and effective home infusion care. We are the only national home infusion company to date to have achieved this important Joint Commission designation.

Beginning in June of 2021 and continuing through mid-October of 2021, Coram underwent rigorous onsite surveys to ensure compliance with home care standards. This included the provision of care, treatment and services, emergency management, human resources, among other standards. The accreditation process also provided Coram with education and guidance to help staff continue to improve its home infusion care program’s performance.

As validated by The Joint Commission, the Coram team is dedicated to ensuring our patients receive high quality and safe care, that our nurses expertly infuse sterile products in accordance with prescriber orders, and that we follow each patient-specific care plan developed by our nursing and pharmacy teams to provide an exceptional patient experience and achieve outstanding outcomes.
