- Safely insert and remove most types of vascular access devices—including PICCs and midlines in adult and pediatric patients—for both short- and long-term infusion therapies
- Confirm catheter placement on-site, potentially eliminating the need for chest x-ray in most patients
- Provide patient education on catheter care and therapy
- Administer the first dose of IV medications and observe the patient’s response
- Monitor the patient's ongoing medication administration, catheter care, adherence and response to therapy
